Hellraiser Revival endings: how to get both and what each one shows
Both Hellraiser: Revival endings explained: how to trigger Human After All and Experience Beyond Limits, plus how to see both without a full replay.

Quick answer
The ending is decided by movement, not a menu. Walk through the gap in the wall before it seals and Aidan joins the Cenobites (Experience Beyond Limits). Stay put until it closes and he stays human (Human After All). You need both trophies, and the game has no chapter select, so keep a save from just before the finale.
Full spoilers below. This covers the last scene in detail. If you haven’t reached it yet, the save advice near the end is the part to read first.
The choice itself
It arrives right after the Ritual of Rebirth, back in the apartment. The Merchant is in the room. A hole in the brick wall is closing, and on the other side stands the bald Cenobite who has been offering Aidan a way in. The objective in the corner says Make your choice, and that is the only instruction you get. There is no dialogue wheel and no button prompt. You decide with your feet.

Stand still and the wall wins. Walk toward the gap and the offer is accepted. The wall closes slowly, so you have time to think, but don’t spend it looking around the room.
| Ending | Trophy | What you do | Where Aidan ends up |
|---|---|---|---|
| Join the Cenobites | Experience Beyond Limits | Walk through the gap before it seals | A Cenobite |
| Stay human | Human After All | Stay put until the wall closes | Human, with the Merchant |
Walking through: Experience Beyond Limits
This is the choice that costs Aidan something. His tongue goes first, as the opening sacrifice, and chains drop down to pin him in place for the rest.

The game cuts to a dark cell, then to Aidan remembering good moments with Sunny while his body is torn apart. After that he becomes a Cenobite and the story stops. We never learn what happens to him or to her. If you walked in hoping it would reunite the two of them, it doesn’t.
Staying put: Human After All
Do nothing and the wall seals. The bald Cenobite leaves, and Aidan stays in the apartment with the Merchant. He sits down and talks about starting over and trying not to ruin it this time.

The sun comes up and he says he is ready for what follows. It isn’t a triumphant scene. Sunny doesn’t come back in this one either, so both endings leave Aidan without her.
Seeing both without playing it twice
Both endings are separate trophies and both count toward the platinum. The game has no chapter select and no New Game Plus, so the only way back to this scene is a save from just before it. The other ones you can lose for good are listed in our achievements guide.
- On the difficulties that autosave, the game saves just before the finale. Take one ending, quit to the main menu, load that autosave and take the other.
- On Hard and Hellraiser difficulty, autosaves are off. Make a manual save at the last save point before the finale, finish with one ending, then load it and replay the last section for the other.
- On Hellraiser difficulty each save costs a Save Token, so keep one in reserve for this. Whatever the difficulty, save before the final room, not after.
Quick answers
Is there a third ending?
No. There are two ending trophies and two endings. Nothing you collect along the way changes the finale, including the Pain and Suffering Pillars.
Which one should I pick first?
It makes no difference to the trophies, so it’s your call. On my first run I stayed put and took Human After All, then loaded the save and walked through for the other. I’d do it that way round. Staying is the safe choice, and it leaves the Cenobite ending as the one you go back for on purpose.
Do I need to do anything before the finale?
Only save. If you’re planning a second run, our inventory upgrade guide lists all six bags, and the rest of our Hellraiser: Revival guides cover codes and trophies.
