Fortnite chest rewards in Treasure Hunters and how to get them
Chests in Treasure Hunters can hand out free cosmetics, Sprite gizmos and Pirate Shop tokens. The pool changes each week, and a few habits get you through enough chests to matter.

Quick answer
Every chest in Battle Royale has a shot at paying out. The odds are tiny, but a win drops straight onto your account with no pickup, and your whole squad gets it as well. The pool changes every week: Week 1 has Solid Gold A$AP Rocky, a G-Wagon and the Pirate Shop token, Week 2 swaps in Solid Gold Lil Uzi Vert and a Gold Cadillac Blackwing. Treasure Hunters runs until the Chapter 7 finale on December 5.
Every chest on Crossbones Isle is a lottery ticket now, and I’d treat Fortnite that way for the rest of the season. Most of them still hand you a shotgun and a bit of shield. Now and then one pays out a cosmetic that stays on your account for good, which is reason enough to stop sprinting past them.
Gold Bars are vaulted and the Vending Machines are gone, so chests are your early game anyway. You may as well roll for free shit while you’re at it.

How chest rewards work
Open any chest in Battle Royale and it has a small chance to pay out. There’s no special gold chest to hunt down and nothing to pick up off the floor. If one hits, the item turns up on your account, and it turns up for your whole squad at the same moment. One person’s lucky chest pays out four.
Epic hasn’t printed a percentage anywhere, which is usually a bad sign. I wouldn’t plan a whole match around it. What does tilt things your way is that chests restock during a match this season, so somewhere you already looted can pay out again when the circle drags you back. That loop is the main thing working in your favour.
The pool itself rotates weekly, so each week gets its own table below.
Week 1 chest rewards (November 1 to 7)
Pirate Shop token first, since it’s the one that makes the whole hunt worth it, then the cosmetics, then the Sprite items.
| Reward | Type |
|---|---|
| Pirate Shop Access (2026 and 2027) | Item Shop token |
| Solid Gold A$AP Rocky | Outfit |
| Solid Gold A$AP Rocky Gauntlets | Pickaxe |
| Mercedes-AMG G 63 ‘G-Wagon’ | Vehicle |
| Golden Llama Crew | Vehicle decal |
| No Trespassing | Jam Track |
| Plunder in Paradise | Loading screen |
| Portable Extractor | Gizmo |
| Extraction Accelerator | Gizmo |
| Lucky Locator | Gizmo |
| Sprite Locator | Gizmo |
| Golden Firework | Sprite Dust |
The Solid Gold Rocky outfit and pickaxe are the two I’d be happiest to see. He also lands in the Item Shop on November 5 at 7 PM ET, which is the paid route if the chests stay stingy.
The Sprite items at the bottom of the table are tools for the Sprite extraction system. The section after the Week 2 table explains each one.
Week 2 chest rewards (November 7 to 14)
| Reward | Type |
|---|---|
| Pirate Shop Access (2026 and 2027) | Item Shop token |
| Solid Gold Lil Uzi Vert | Outfit |
| Lil’ Uzi Crew | Back Bling |
| Gold Cadillac Blackwing | Vehicle skin |
| London | Jam Track |
| So Kawaii | Loading screen |
Week 2 has no gizmos and no Sprite Dust. It’s cosmetics and the token, full stop. If you want the Sprite items from chests, the first week is your only window, though the Sprite Mastery track hands out some of them anyway (more on that below).
Lil Uzi Vert arrives on the island as a captain on November 7 and goes into the Item Shop on November 12.
What the gizmos do
Gizmos are single-use tools you pull up from your pickaxe slot. All four in the Week 1 pool revolve around Sprites, the little elemental buddies you collect and extract. The Golden Firework at the end of the list pays out Sprite Dust instead of giving you a tool.
- Portable Extractor: banks a Sprite you’re carrying from wherever you’re standing, after a five second channel. No extraction site needed.
- Extraction Accelerator: calls in a crate at a site quietly, so the extraction is over quickly and doesn’t announce itself to the lobby.
- Lucky Locator: points you at a buried Sprite Chest guaranteed to have a Sprite missing from your collection.
- Sprite Locator: marks buried Sprite Chests nearby, but the Sprite inside can be a duplicate.
- Golden Firework: pays out Sprite Dust, the currency for upgrading your Sprites.
Of those, the Lucky Locator is the one I’d rate highest once your collection is half full, because it removes the duplicate roll entirely. Before that point the Portable Extractor does more for you, since it stops you losing a rare Sprite on the walk to a site.
You don’t have to rely on chest luck for these. Master Sprites on the Sprite Mastery track (it lives on the lobby’s Treasure screen) and it pays out Golden Fireworks, Lucky Locators and more gizmos, with a fresh page opening each week.
Pirate Shop access
This is the jackpot. A single win comes with two activations, and each one lets you grab the eligible V-Bucks items in the Item Shop at no cost for 14 days. What you claim is yours permanently.
Use the first activation before December 15, 2026. The second one opens on January 1, 2027 and runs until December 15, 2027. Your 14 days start when you press the button, so you pick the moment.
- Go to the Item Shop in the lobby.
- Tap Plunder the Item Shop, the button in the lower right, and your Pirate Shop access shows up.
- Press Activate Now when the shop has what you want. The 14 days start immediately.
- Claim every item you want from the Item Shop before the timer runs out.
Don’t activate on a quiet day. The window only covers what’s in the shop while it’s open. November 14 puts Kasane Teto and Cap’n Hatsune Miku in the shop, and Lil Uzi Vert (November 12) and Buggy (November 13) arrive just before, so a window opened around then beats one opened on a slow Tuesday.
It doesn’t cover everything. Real-money offers are out, so Packs and bundles sold for cash don’t count. You can’t gift anything with it, Battle Pass progress doesn’t qualify either, and Sidekicks are limited to one free copy of any you’re missing.
Chests can drop the token from November 1 right up to the Chapter 7 finale on December 5, and it sits in the pool every week. A token found by one player goes to the entire squad.
How to open more chests
The odds on a single chest are low, so the whole game is volume. Everything below is about getting more chests open per match.
Play in a squad. Every teammate opening chests is another roll, and every reward is shared, so four players in a loot-heavy POI do the work of four separate runs. Solo you get a quarter of the rolls and a quarter of the arguments about who takes the shotgun.
Loop back through places you’ve already cleared, because chests refill. A circle that drags you through your landing spot a second time is a free round of rolls.
Sprites help too. The Fortune Sprite variant shows nearby chests, Plundarrgh speeds up your pickaxe and movement when you open chests, and Chester squeezes extra loot out of them, plus no fall damage, which comes in handy after a cannon launch. None of them change reward odds, but they get you to the next chest faster.
Sundays are Treasure Hours, which Epic describes as boosted drops, so I’d save the long chest-farming sessions for Sunday.
